We are for dental health. Dental health promotes overall physical health, and we want to help our patients have healthy, functional teeth that look good and feel good.

Layton was a small farming community of about 3,500 people when Dr. Steven Christensen's father, Robert, began his dental practice at the original Tanner Clinic in 1953. After graduating from Creighton Dental School, Dr. Steven Christensen joined his father's dental practice in 1987. He has been taking care of patients in Layton ever since.

Dr. Steven has always had a love of learning. As a young boy, he would spend time reading the family's encyclopedias. This love has kept him constantly learning and keeping up with new techniques and technology in dentistry. Since finishing his DDS degree, he has also become a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. It is one of the most prestigious awards in dentistry and designates that a dentist has achieved true excellence in their profession. This education has opened up opportunities for Dr. Christensen to teach courses to other dentists looking to improve their techniques.

Dr. Christensen and his wife, Jill, have 3 children. Their oldest is a software developer, the middle child is a Dental Hygienist and their youngest child is working his way through undergraduate studies and has his sights set on becoming a dentist like his father and grandfather.

4 Dental Health is committed to giving back to our local community. Dr Christensen volunteers several times a year to check the teeth of children in the Head Start program. Additionally, we annually host Spreading Free Smiles. At this event, we open our office for a free day of dental

service for those in our own community who are in need.
